Ten Thousand Megawatts of Solar Energy in Three Years
Horan Paya Energy Development Company’s vision is to play a key role in the development and expansion of green energy in Iran. Our organizational mission is designed around this goal: to establish 10,000 MW of solar energy capacity within the next three years. This plan includes the construction of 10 to 15 solar power plants of varying capacities across different regions of the country. By ensuring stable and reliable power supply, the company strives to address Iran’s critical energy challenges.
Solar-Rich Regions in Iran
Qom, Tehran & Alborz
The provinces of Qom, Tehran, and Alborz, benefiting from favorable solar radiation and a relatively dry climate, are among the most notable regions for solar power plant development in Iran. These provinces average over 280 sunny days per year, with solar radiation estimated at 1,800–2,000 kWh/m², providing excellent conditions for investment and photovoltaic plant construction.
Yazd Province
Yazd Province is recognized as one of the best regions for solar power plant development in Iran, thanks to its numerous advantages. The province averages 300 sunny days per year, with solar radiation of approximately 2,200 kWh/m².
Kerman Province
Kerman Province, with its unique characteristics, has become one of the most attractive destinations for solar power plant development.
